Summer Camps – California Arts Guild

Drama Camps

California Arts Guild Drama Camps is where it all began for us! Unlike our programs during the school year that meet once per week, our camps are structured to include a full-day curriculum of acting, singing, writing, filmmaking, and dancing.

We offer one-week themed sessions and/or for those students looking to do a full-length production, we offer our 4 weeks all-day intensive which culminates in four shows.

One Week Drama Camps

Our one-week drama camps are a great way to learn the craft of acting, singing, and dancing without the pressure of a full scale musical, nor the time commitment. It’s also a great way to make lifelong friends and have fun along the way. Each one-week camp has a theme and a small performance for invited family and friends.

Ages 7 -15 years old

Musical Theater

4 Week Session – Ages 6 -15

In this 4-week Summer workshop, students act, sing, and dance their way through rehearsals and are cast in a full scale production, which culminates into four performances with professional lighting, costumes, microphones, and sets. The production is double cast as to give each student a chance to play a lead role, as well as an ensemble role. Each summer, we choose big musicals to give each student a chance to experience the magic of theater!

Little Stars One-Week Camps

Ages 3-5

In this series of mini one-week Summer day camps, our littlest stars take to the stage and show us their own acting chops! Each child is given a role, a few lines to say on stage, and a costume, and well, let’s just say, it’s the cutest darn production you’ll ever want to miss!

Film Making Camps

Ages 11 -15 years old

Welcome to the Kids Filmmaking Camp, where young storytellers aged 8-14 can dive into the exciting world of filmmaking! This dynamic camp offers a hands-on introduction to the art and craft of making movies. Campers will learn the basics of scriptwriting, story boarding, directing, acting for the camera, and editing. Working in small groups, they’ll collaborate to create their own short films from start to finish.

By the end of the camp, each group will have produced a short film that will be showcased in a special screening event for family and friends, complete with a red carpet and “Oscars” ceremony.

This camp is perfect for budding filmmakers who want to express their creativity, learn new skills, and see their ideas come to life on the big screen. No prior experience is necessary – just bring your imagination and enthusiasm!

Screenplay Camp

Ages 10-16
